A comfy little cafe in the corner of a quite street. Google maps will get you there if you’re unfamiliar with the locality. I got a very tranquil vibe from the place. The verandah has a couple of park benches under Umbrellas for shade and surrounded with potted greenery.
The cafe itself is painted white on brick walls with cartoonish murals on the walls. Simple wooden tables with wrought iron chairs. Nice place to just relax on a shot summer afternoon.
Talk about comfort food, I was in a very lazy mood so ordered some ADRAK CHAI and POHA right away.
While the garam Chai was like mana from heaven for my sore throat, my friend’s Masala tea was too strong to be enjoyable. The poha was nice but a little low on salt. This simple points left a lot to be desired in the otherwise quintessential food combo.
Also ordered the NACHOS PLATTER – A platter full of spicy Nacho chips baked with loads of cheese and veggies, corns, tomatos, jalapenos, b and what not. The whole affair looked so beautiful and tasted every bit as good as well.
Dollop of Salted mashed potatoes on Monaco biscuits sprinkled with bhelpuri sev and just a drop of tomato ketchup.
The presentation was eye catching a bit I wasn’t sure about the taste. But this is a very filling tea time snack. The creamy-buttery texture of the mashed potatoes with the salty and sweet taste of namkeen and ketchup is a very pleasant combination.
The service was just a tad bit slow but we didn’t mind. The staff is friendly.
Food – 4/5
Service – 3/5
I would definitely be visiting here to try the other menu items. This place has a hangout feel to it so you can checkout if you happen to be nearby and hungry. Good luck.
